Screencap from KEakaCK.

"Oh, my God."

Lois Lane stared through the etched glass of the door that led to the archives room in the Daily Planet's basement. She'd been working with Jimmy Olsen off and on since she started working here, and she'd always thought of him as a skinny little geek. Which maybe wasn't too nice of her, but the truth hurt, didn't it?

But apparently it wasn't the truth. Because behind the glass door, Jimmy was changing from work clothes to jeans and a t-shirt before going home for the night.

And he was seriously hot.

At least, he looked a lot better than she would have expected. He wasn't a massive wall of muscle like her friend Clark Kent (whose muscle seemed to extend right up between his ears), but he had the hard, toned look of a guy who walked and rode all over Metropolis, instead of driving.

It was late at night, and the basement was empty. She had the place all to herself. She had the view all to herself. He'd peeled his collared shirt off, and now his hands dropped to the waistband of his slacks.

She ought to turn away. She really ought to.

But she didn't.

Jimmy's slacks dropped onto the floor, exposing a really nice pair of legs. You could tell he owned a bike, and rode it a lot. She stared at his thighs, mesmerized by the unexpected bulge of muscle.

He didn't take off his tighty whities, somewhat to her annoyance, but as he turned toward the desk where he'd placed his casual clothes, she got a good, long look at his ass. Even covered in white cotton, it looked good enough to smack.

Oh, my God, she thought, staring helplessly. Something is so seriously wrong with me. I'm lusting for a geek.

She remembered something she'd said a long time ago: Give me a nerd in glasses any day. But it wasn't true, and she knew it. The truth was that she'd always been drawn to the big, gorgeous, hunky sort of man. Nerds barely registered on her radar. God knows Jimmy Olsen never had.

Jimmy wasn't big, or gorgeous, or hunky. But all of a sudden, she realized that slim and toned wasn't a bad look, either.

And maybe, just maybe, the reason she found him so attractive wasn't just the way he looked. Jimmy was a nice guy, a decent guy, who'd been encouraging to her, even when other people at the Planet sneered at the big empty spaces on her resume. He'd never once treated her like an idiot, or implied she was incompetent. He'd given her leads, read over her articles and pointed out errors, and told her she was a terrific addition to the staff, even when she was uncomfortably certain she wasn't.

He was a great guy, and she'd never noticed, just because he wasn't built like Schwarzenegger.

Although maybe she wasn't giving herself quite enough credit. Maybe she wasn't quite that superficial. After all, her cousin Chloe had been dating Jimmy until recently, so he'd been off limits. But now Chloe was dating Clark, and boinking Clark, which meant that Jimmy was officially back on the market.

He was all hers, if she wanted him.

And strangely enough, she did.

She stared a moment longer. Jimmy grabbed his jeans off the desk, and she squared her shoulders, steeling herself, and pushed the glass door open before he could put them on.

"Drop 'em," she said.

Jimmy screamed like a girl, and she burst out laughing. He spun around and looked at her sheepishly, covering himself awkwardly with his jeans as his cheeks turned red.

She walked over to him and put her arms around his neck, and he looked startled, but dropped his jeans back on the desk without argument.

His arms went around her waist, and they were strong and solid and really, really nice. Up close, she discovered, he didn't feel like a nerd. He felt like a really sexy guy.

She kissed him, and he kissed her back. And not too much later, he screamed like a girl again.

Lois didn't mind.

I could definitely get behind this pairing, especially the way you wrote them here! Great work.

Oooooooh!!!! Elly, you did it up right! Se, Lois and Jimmy are MADE for one another! You proved it just now. I mean, seriously! I LOVE this story.

I think I'll write some short fluffy Jois....

If you do this pairing again, will you make it dirty? *wiggles brows*

God, I hope you do Jois again....*hinthint*

Ok Anoymous no-one said it would never happen it could have been a request and I enjoyed it! Did it say at the top THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN?? No. I loved it! I love the way you write Jimmy. But I do agree with you on one thing Lois can't get with Chlark in Smallville it will be too weird like My cousin used to love you... I know! It should be Clark and Chloe and Lois and Ollie... but they can trade off :D :D! Love it Elly

Thank you for the kind feedback, guys. And Katie, don't worry about it; I delete foolish comments from people who come to a Chloiser's blog and expect her to write Clark-and-EDLois-living-happily-ever-after stories, and chastise her when she doesn't *rolls eyes*. I'm not a Joiser myself, but this was fun to write, and I'm glad you guys enjoyed it:-).

Great story. I could totally see Jimmy screaming like a girl. I haven't written that many things about Smallville but I'm going to give Jimmy and Lois a guy since I'm going to try one of CT's plot bunnies. Keep up the great work.

WOOHOO!! A JLo fic!!! Awesome Elly! Loved it! I agree with whoever said that Lois and Jimmy have more Chemistry than Chimmy and Clois. I could get behind a JLo pairing if it's written like this. Cute little fic. Hope to read more JLo, Chlark, Clex and of course Chlex stories Elly! Thanks!

Awesome. You should write more Jimmy/Lois.

I can totally picture the actors doing this it was great. Jimmy is always saying that to her in the show and their is chemistry between the two. Also I can see what Lois is thinking in her minds eye. Smallville Lois and Clark I don't see them together and next season I can see her saving Jimmy in her storyline.

Ignore the haters - This Clois shipper actually liked it. I hate ship wars, they're pointless and stupid. I think Aaron Ashmore is a cutie and even if I don't ship this pairing I know a well written and fun fic (loved the ending) when I see one.

Btw, I came for your M*A*S*H fics (this is Chickadilly from LJ - for some reason it won't let me log into my open ID) but had to check out some of the SV ones. :D

Thanks, Chickadilly. Glad you liked it. But I do have to warn you that I'm a pretty strong Chlark shipper, and don't like Lois much, so much of my SV fiction may irritate you. You might prefer to stick with the MASH:-). Although my Clex slash isn't Chlarky, so that might be okay for you!

No problem - I actually thought Chlark would have been cute in the first few seasons and even though I prefer Clois (and I do like ED's Lois) I don't mind the idea of Chlark the way some Clois people do. (Honestly the ship wars in this fandom turns me off beyond belief. I actually read this because I was curious because a while ago some people were bitching ala, "OMG some people are shipping Jimmy with Lois and isn't that so terrible" blah, blah, blah. And yes, I rolled my eyes - not at the pairing but the fact that certain people let it get to them because I don't care. If people are having fun then that's all that matters. And this was a fun fic and I got a kick out of reading it. (Plus like I said I think Aaron Ashmore is a cutie - I'm bummed at the retcon the writers did with him. Meh.)

I just posted a huge rant on my LJ about ship wars if you want to take a look. I purposely left it open so that people on the other side of the ship debate could leave feedback if they wanted. I'm actually officially leaving the fandom save for occasional fics and such because the ridiculous fighting has just taken all the fun out of it. (That said I'll have to check out your Clex fics because I do like Clex a lot and if they're anything like the BJ/Hawkeye fics then - yes. I'm sure I will enjoy them. :D

ANYWAY, that's my long winded way of saying that I'm sorry some Cloisers evidently gave you a hard time for this and that I really enjoy your writing style.

I'll shut up now. I guess the whole SV fandom has given me a lot to ramble about lately.

Oh, I LOVE this. Why didn't I see it before?

After all, her cousin Chloe had been dating Jimmy until recently, so he'd been off limits. But now Chloe was dating Clark, and boinking Clark, which meant that Jimmy was officially back on the market.
...That made me giggle.

And he screamed like a girl. TWICE. THAT'S MY JIMMY! lol

This is awesome. Thanks for posting at fanon friday!
